This Private Resort in Alitagtag, Batangas Will Cause Instagram-Feed-Envy

Summer time’s almost over and everyone’s trying to get that last bit of sun just before the rainy season begins. Let’s face it, a big factor in picking an accommodation is also taking into consideration whether or not it’s instagram-worthy. We were lucky enough to discover this hidden gem in Alitagtag, Batangas called “The Den” which fit all our criteria.

The Den is all about R&R. We all felt very spoilt by the resort’s accommodating staff from check-in to check-out. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a farmer’s hat to get you into that Fun-Farm vibe. More than just for aesthetic purposes, it’s needed to protect you from the scorching heat of the sun.

Upon check-in you will get a grand tour of the entire resort. With land so vast, be prepared for a  mild hike.

As of the moment, there are two cottages which can fit 4-5 people each. It's air-conditioned and has its own bathroom.

They also have an air-conditioned tent (glamping) which can fit five people as well.

Soon, they will be opening another cottage which can accommodate more guests. When you make your booking, you're booking the entire resort so it's best if you're a group of at least 10.

The Pool Area and Jacuzzi would probably be the most Instagramable part of the resort.

It overlooks lush trees and blue skies, which is a perfect view especially if you just want to lounge around.

The Pavillion

Apart from the pool area, the Pavilion would probably be my favourite part of the resort. It's surrounded by glass windows which allow natural light to come in.

It's also the resort's "chill-out spot" where you can lounge, dine, cool down, listen to music, play games, or even watch a movie (best done at night).

You can order food at the resort, and I highly recommend it, if you don't want to hassle yourself on grocery shopping and cooking.

However, you could also cook light meals such as breakfast just so you can experience cooking at their kitchen. It would also be a great bonding experience.

If you're into yoga, or simply want to have a massage, The Den has the perfect spot for you. It's a bit secluded from the main activity area of the resort so you can enjoy peace and quiet even more. Be sure to book the massages in advanced.

They even have a Sari-Sari store for those little things you want to buy and a Chapel if you want to take the time to pray and reflect.

I must say, all the nooks at the resort are instagram worthy.

Everywhere I looked made me want to snap a photo. The elements of design were carefully thought of, and together, created an eclectic, urban vibe which was very pleasing to the eye. There's so much you can do at the resort that an overnight stay didn't seem enough. Did I mention, they also have Karaoke? We wish we stayed at least 2 nights. We can't wait to go back!
