Soft-batch Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate chip cookies with milk are usually seen during Christmas as little munchkins offer this childhood classic while they wait for Santa Clause. I specifically enjoy warm, soft-batch cookies regardless of the reason or season. It is best served with milk or hot cocoa.

Serving: approx. 3 dozens

1 cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp vanilla
2 cups + 4 tbsp all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda (sifted)
1 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 200 C.

2. In a bowl, cream butter until light and fluffy.

3. Mix in the white and brown sugar and continue blending until you arrive at a consistent texture.

4. Add in the egg and vanilla. Blend well until light and fluffy.

5. Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt.

6. Fold in chocolate chips.

7. Grease baking trays with butter and drop a heaping tablespoon onto the pans. Leave allowances on all sides of the cookie as it will expand once baked.

8. Bake cookies for about 10-13 minutes or until golden brown.

9. Once ready, cool on a cookie rack.

10. Enjoy!
