Mini Chocolate Cookie with Chocolate Glaze and Sprinkles

This is not your ordinary cookie. Experience that melt-in-your-mouth sensation with every bite! you can even do variations such as using white chocolate and different types of sprinkles. Feel free to let me hear about it!

Serving: Approx 4 1/2 dozen


1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1tsp vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
Dash of salt
1/2 cup chocolate/ white chocolate buttons (you can also use shredded chocolate blocks)
Colored sprinkles

Preheat oven to 350 F.

1. In a bowl, cream the butter until soft and fluffy.

2. Add the white and brown sugar. Continue beating until well-blended.

3. Blend in the egg and vanilla.

4. Add in the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Fold the batter until smooth. Set aside.

5. Roll the mixture into balls or shape it using a half-sphere-shaped ½ tablespoon.

6. Place on a greased tray.

7. Bake for 10 minutes.

8. Cool on a baking rack.

8. Melt the white chocolate using the microwave or a double boiler (note: If using the microwave, heat in for 20 seconds, mix. Repeat until melted. Do not continuously heat to avoid burning the chocolate).

9. Dip the top of the cookies on the melted chocolate then top off with sprinkles. Set aside till chocolate hardens.
