Pondo ng Pinoy

Have you ever found yourself left with abundant coins that you've gotten as spare change? Well I have. There were even times when I was able to collect almost 2000php worth of coins! Don't know what to do with them? Here's a tip. I started setting up a "Pondo ng Pinoy" container in our home.

This advocacy has been going on for years, but not a lot implement it in their homes. It's pretty easy and I encourage all households to make one for themselves. All you need is a plastic/ reusable bottle or continer, decorate it if you want, and then start filling it up with a 25centavo coin a dayBut if you're feeling generous then you can surely give more. My plan is to donate the coins that we've collected after the container has been filled.

Donating 25centavos a day may seem small but as the Cardinal puts it: "Anumang magaling, kahit maliit, basta malimit, patungong Langit". We must remember that the Pondo ng Pinoy is not about the amount of money that one gives but the amount of thought and effort one puts into it. Small things can make a difference. As a matter of fact, all things big come from small beginnings.

Have you started? Tell me about it!
